2. We also publish 'Spotlights' which when used in conjunction with the value ratings can provide you with additional information to reinforce whether or not the horse has a good chance of winning or placing at the available odds.

What we do is go down the list, looking at the first 5, spot any that stand out on price, then if they appear in at least 2 of the BOT Spotlights, and the price is right, we would back them to win and or place accordingly.

3. For favourite layers, we tend to consider that if the favourite is NOT in the top 3 then it should be looked at closely as a possible lay bet.

I have now also extended the 'Win or Each-Way Potential' to include all races (formerly we were just doing handicaps), so now I have tried to filter the ratings even further and provide a list of horses that I feel could win. The secret is to use a bot and perhaps set the minimum odds to something greater than 6'ish on Betfair and cover 2 or 3 at level stakes. I have used this strategy very successfully over the last few weeks and made a good level stakes profit from it. Hopefully you will find this useful. I will trial this for about a month and if the results are not working out, then I will revert to the old handicap system again. So remember this is experimental so use only small stakes if you are going to follow this strategy.

There is also the 'Horses to Watch' section on the main page, these are horses that could run into a place and are ideal for place-betting on betfair. The returns aren't great, but alot of them do run into place money and again if you set minimum odds you could find following these horses could provide additional and consistent profits.
